UPDATED: There is reasonable speculation that this girl died at the hand of a family member, and judging from reports the family has rallied in support of the old man. I have read comments, again speculation, that perhaps another younger member of the family is responsible. To think that a family could be pleased that a child is dead is disgusting. To think it happens at all in Canada is an abomination.
How well is our Canadian Media or SPM (Steam Powered Media) doing on this story? Check this out at http://www.ctv.ca the search turns up 5 pages none of which point to this current incident. Checking Global News main page turns up zilch. Let's try the Ceeb and agin we get nada!
Anyone getting their 'news' from just these sources would be missing out on an important story. Chalk this up to political correctness and fear of 'backlash' from the usual wankers. I'd say the blindness of politically correct multiculturalism and selective reporting is killing kids. Maintaining the myth that certain selected cultures are equal is an ongoing part of news media life in Canada.
