This is just a link to an article by Martin Griffiths. Fair job, I would say!
Unlike dozens of journalists, the author was actually able to learn what some of the most important sources are, what social patterns they exhibit in reality, and how all of this differs from and interacts with the conventional science and the society. When he was writing the article, he has also organized a poll that clarified which bloggers visit other blogs and similar websites such as Wikipedia, which sources they trust, and which sources they don't trust.
Many other journalists prefer to learn nothing and to parrot the black-and-white emotional clichés of the least trustworthy players such as the blue one and the black one.
