Friday Toss Up: Sharia? Jihad? Bombing!

 From Frontpagemag.com to-stop-or-not-to-stop-sharia:
The litmus test to differentiate a progressive Muslim from a radical one is to inquire about the belief in Sharia law being divine. Sharia law is by no means a benign legal system; to the contrary, it is a malignant weapon that aids the pursuit of a global theocracy. The claim that the violence of Sharia law is Allah’s Law destroys the legitimacy of Islam as a “Religion of Peace.”

An Al Qaeda leader, the head of a designated terror organization and a confessed jihadist-in-training are among a "Who's Who" of controversial figures who have participated in weekly prayer sessions on Capitol Hill since the 2001 terror attacks, an investigation by FoxNews.com reveals.

The Congressional Muslim Staff Association (CMSA) has held weekly Friday Jummah prayers for more than a decade, and guest preachers are often invited to lead the service. The group held prayers informally for about eight years before gaining official status in 2006 under the sponsorship of Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., one of two Muslims currently serving in Congress. The second Muslim congressman, Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., joined as co-sponsor after he was elected in 2008.

Bombing of Karachi's anti-terror HQ kills 18 (source link here)

MILITANTS have destroyed the headquarters of Karachi's main anti-terrorist agency in a massive suicide blast that killed 18 people and signalled an ominous expansion of the Taliban insurgency spreading through the nuclear-armed nation.
More than 130 people were wounded in the attack by at least six terrorists who hit the heavily secured Criminal Investigation Department compound at about 8.20pm on Thursday (2.20am yesterday, AEDT), lobbing grenades and exchanging gunfire with guards before ramming a truck piled with up to 1000kg of explosives into a boundary wall.
Several officials yesterday compared the strike - one of the largest on the southern city - with the September 2008 bombing of Islamabad's Marriott Hotel, which killed about 60 people.
