The fundamental assumption of the anthropic principle is that the Universe must be able to create a human being or the "anthropos". You could think that the human being is too special a kind of creature, making the principle too arbitrary.
But this picture of the renowned and beloved director of our new Center for Anthropic Studies shows that this criticism is not substantiated. The "anthropic" category includes creatures as diverse as our director who is an Iranian-Persian-Canadian-Werwolvian-American. ;-) Click to zoom in.
